My best friend finally got married this past weekend. Which means no more Bridezilla shenanigans, no more huge expenses for me, and I got to cut all my hair off and dye it back dark. Yay!

H50 2.03 )

American Horror Story was god awful (Why, Connie Britton, why?) and Glee has to be the most redundant, ridiculous, poorly written show on television. I am officially not watching it anymore. Besides "girl empowerment through sexy dancing and revealing clothes" and another iteration of Mercedes-is-an-ignored-bratty-diva and Rachel-gets-everything-omg-so-unfair, plus the storylines which are picked up and dropped again almost within the same beat...oh, forget it. I just don't like Ryan Murphy and I think he needs to stop making TV.

Castle was boring, Gossip Girl was boring, Nikita was boring, Ringer was boring. I want Person of Interest to be actually interesting, but I am find that to be also very boring. I already axed Pan Am and Prime Suspect and Hart of Dixie from the viewing list, I think Person of Interest and Ringer are next. I think I'm going to give A Gifted Man and The Secret Circle a few more episodes. I think that A Gifted Man is going to be side by side with The Good Wife in the category of "Shows I don't like but want to like because of the cast." The Secret Circle is starting to pick up a bit of steam and I remember I didn't like The Vampire Diaries at first either, so, we'll see.

TVD 3.03 )

Modern Family was cute, Big Bang Theory had a few laughs. I'm finally all caught up on Parks & Recreation and I want to cuddle up with Ben and watch the original Star Wars trilogy. Last week's Haven - "I'll make pancakes." 'Nuff said. Though the end - egads, why, what now?! I watched Blue Bloods with my dad while I was visiting Buffalo, which I should never do because of the completely unrealistic police work that makes him crazy (he's a cop). I should've watched it with my mom, who just loves Tom Selleck. Fringe was good, I still love it. :)

SPN 7.02 )

Speaking of SPN, check out this book! I wrote a chapter!

Arrested Development new episodes and a movie? Yes please. :)

Okay, more TV tonight. I'm actually looking forward to getting rid of some shows, I don't want to watch this much TV!

I...think that's it.

Oh, Up All Night was bad and so was Community, and so was Glee. Modern Family was hilarious. The end.

Off to watch Castle and Two Broke Girls and The Lying Game and The Good Wife. And Downton Abbey. Last week's Downton was wonderful. So much TV to watch!!!!!!!!

All I can say is that almost all the crazy idiotic threads from last year's finale got tied up in a way-too-easy little bow, TOQ is still the man even with lower-caliber material, and the Steve/Danny eye-fucking that was going on was epic. Sorry, two guys can't look at each other like that and not be screwing! It's ridiculous. And the last scene, *yawn*.

Castle...I wish Nathan Fillion had someone better to play off of.

I was surprised that I found 2 Broke Girls to be pretty funny at times. Jokes at the expense of Williamsburg hipsters will never not amuse me though.

I've always hated 2 and a Half Men with a passion, but I have a secret adoration of Ashton Kutcher, so I watched last night's episode. As expected, Ashton brought a smile to my face with his doofiness, but I cannot take that actual show. Even without Charlie Sheen it's still craptastic.

I went out and bought H50 S1 on Blu-Ray today. It's my first TV series I'm going to go Blu-Ray with (All my other TV started out on DVD and I don't like mixing and matching formats). I'm kinda excited. I also pre-ordered The Lion King on Blu-Ray, cause I'm a dork. I love my early late 80s-early 90s Disney movies so so so much.

For the next five days, I'm house-sitting for my friend with all the birds again. Two more birds this time (which makes the total of birds around 18 or something), plus her two dogs. It's going to be a crap ton of work and I am not looking forward to it. I also will not have internet, and I have to drive home every evening to feed my cat, because my brother bailed on being home and he went on a trip so now I have to drive forty-five minutes round trip each night to feed Gustave and set up his food in the timer for the AM and then go back to my friend's house. Blergh.

I have to go pack.

Everyone have a good week! SPN and Fringe on Friday! :)

For those who are caught up... )

Oh, and anyone want to point me in the direction of well-written Duke/Nathan fic, feel free. ;)

And a word on H50 spoilers... )

H50 1.24 Oia'i'o )

Onto CASTLE. I heard it's going to be INTENSE.

ETA: Yeah, intense and stupid. There is some lazyass and crazyass writing going around finale-wise this year, my word. Chuck's been the best so far!

elise_509: (TV BOYFRIEND)
You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just 'cause some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Camelot is really bad; the guy who plays Arthur is beyond annoying. I know he's supposed to be a young kid coming to grips with his new position, but I want to punch him in the face every time he's on screen. Can't Leontes and Kay just take over and rule the kingdom with their pretty? Guinevere is also irritating as all get out. I'm axing that one off my tv schedule.

Fringe was wacked out, even for Fringe. I realize they were working around some actor/scheduling issues, but what a weird solution. I hope next week gets back on track.

SPN 6.17 My Heart Will Go On )

Sunday!

The Killing. Still love the Larsens, still find the two lead detectives irksome.

Game of Thrones. Yay Sean Bean, yay Nikolaj Coster-Waldau...but blech. I remember why I never got through the first book. I'll probably watch a couple more episodes, but really the only thing I've gained from this thus far is that I want a dire wolf puppy. So cute!!!!

Five-O Day! Monday!

Chuck was fun, Gossip Girl BLEW (Lee, can you fix it?), no Castle tonight? :(

H50 1.21 Ho'opa'i )

And LJ seems to be working okay for me again, (*fingers crossed*) so hopefully I'll be able to answer comments and stuff finally.

elise_509: (H50 MAKES ME LIKE MONDAYS)
Oh, Mondays. Even though you usually give me Chuck and Castle, there's nothing quite like when you give me Hawaii Five-0. Steve McGarrett, I've missed you and your impossibly beautiful eyes.

Seriously, Alex, can you be hotter. Tattoos and sprawling and shirtlessness and smoldering and actual fire.

My brain's a bit mush, but that will make sense if you click the link.

H50 1.17 "Powa Maka Moana"

Steve McGarrett is deliciously insane, Steve & Danny are married, Kono kicks ass, Chin hangs around being awesome...

It's Monday night and Happy Valentine's to me!

Seriously, Steve, SO insane, I adore you.

Thoughts, do I have them? Not really, just rambling... )

I've been re-watching LOST Season One. Oh, the memories, I struggle to keep you untainted by later seasons... *clutches heart, clutches Jack*

Because seriously.

I think I'm gonna have to write that story cause it's not leaving me alone.

P.S. It's annoying that Barney's Version isn't out here yet. They ran the trailer for it before The Illusionist today and I was just like, damn, Scott, why are you not in my life more.
